Model 2405 Slider-Bed Belt Conveyor Success Story

Portability Adds Convenience

"We need a conveyor that stands up to slop."

"We have a wash-down motor on our Patz Conveyor so we can wash the belt and the whole conveyor. We really like that feature," points out Dan Dereene, Plastic Recovery Team Leader at Tosca, Ltd., of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

"We also like the stand with wheels so we can move the conveyor away from the grinder when we are not using it," adds Dereene. "The portable stand allows opening up the work area, which is an added convenience."

A quick-disconnect electric power line helps make it convenient to swing the conveyor away from the grinder when desired.

"We normally run the conveyor 16 hours a day," he notes.

"Because plastic containers - such as ice cream pails - are not washed before grinding, the plastic is washed after grinding," explains Dereene.

This Patz Model 2405 cleated-belt conveyor moves plastic containers to a grinder for recycling. Plastic items recycled include milk jugs, food containers, pallets, siding, gas pipes, and lawn furniture.
